- The website does not show a cookie banner because it sets no optional cookies.
- The app does not use cookies. It keeps your login session and settings in secure storage on your device, and uses optional product analytics that you can turn off.

3. What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It can remember settings or recognise your browser on a later visit. Similar technologies include local storage in a browser and secure storage in a mobile app.
4. Why we use them
We only use these technologies where they are needed to:
- Make the website and app work, for example keep you signed in to the app.
- Protect the Services against attacks and abuse.
- Understand how the app is used, only if you leave product analytics on.
5. How to refuse or delete them
- Website: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works without them.
- App: turn off product analytics under Profile › Privacy settings. Signing out removes your session from the device. Deleting the app removes everything it stored.

- Session: removed when you close the browser.
- Persistent: kept until they expire or you delete them.

- First-party: set by Avena.
- Third-party: set by another provider. Cloudflare, which protects our website, may set a strictly necessary security cookie when it needs to tell people and bots apart.

We do not use targeting or advertising cookies, and no ad networks run on our website or app.
7. Sharing of data collected this way
Analytics data from the app is processed by PostHog, and security data on the website by Cloudflare, as described in our Privacy Policy. This may involve transfers outside your country, protected as explained there.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability and objection, and the right not to be subject to decisions based only on automated processing.
