Do I need a new QR code for every plan?+

No. You install the Avena eSIM once. Every plan you buy later, for your destination or any other destination, is added to that same eSIM automatically.

Does the eSIM eSIM work on my phone?+

Most phones sold since 2019 support eSIM, including iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Dial *#06#: if you see an EID line, your phone supports eSIM. The phone must be carrier-unlocked.

When does my eSIM plan start?+

Validity starts the first time the plan carries data in your destination, not when you buy it. You can buy days or weeks before you travel.

How do I install the eSIM?+

After your first purchase the app installs the eSIM in two taps on iOS 17.4 and newer and on Android. You can also scan a QR code or enter the SM-DP+ address and activation code manually.

Can I keep my own number?+

Yes. The Avena eSIM is data only. Your regular SIM stays in the phone for calls and texts; turn off its mobile data abroad to avoid roaming charges.

Can I use the eSIM as a hotspot?+

Yes. Hotspot and tethering are allowed on every Avena plan at no extra cost.

Can I get a refund?+

A plan that has never carried data can be refunded to your Avena wallet from the order page. Used plans are not refundable.
